About the Location
The conference is held at the Westgate Resort & Spa in Canyons Village of Park City Mountain Resort. Park City Mountain Resort is the largest ski and snowboard resort in North America, with over 7,300 acres of accessible terrain. In addition to abundant skiing, Canyons Village has a number of restaurants, full spa services, shopping, and easy access to Park City’s historic Main Street.
An extended break is planned on mid-day Friday and Saturday to allow for participants to take advantage of the winter activities in Park City. While skiing is an obvious opportunity, there are a number of additional things to do for the non-skiers among us.
Skiing
Park City Mountain Resort offers a discount for purchasing tickets online and beforehand. PCMR has a policy of occasionally restricting the number of lift tickets; while our weekday dates in March should not be overcrowded, booking your lift ticket(s) early is prudent. Hiking
A hike will be available on Friday for those interested in enjoying the outdoors. The route is designated “easy to moderate.” A link to sign up will be sent by email to conference participants.
Swimming in the Utah Crater
We will take a group to go swimming on Friday in the Utah Crater, a 95 degree geothermal spring in Midway, Utah. A link to register will be sent by email to conference participants.
Other
Conference participants are of course welcome to explore the other options available at the resort and in the area. For instance, the Westgate has spa facilities, and Park City’s historic Main Street is a short drive away. Tours are also available at the nearby Olympic Park.

Directions
Canyons Village is approximately 35 minutes east of Salt Lake City International Airport. Uber and Lyft coverage in Salt Lake City is robust, and is likely the most convenient mode of transportation to Park City. All major car rental companies serve the Salt Lake Airport. Traditional cabs and shuttles are also available.
Navigation apps, such as Google Maps, will easily direct you to the resort. (The address to enter for Google Maps: Westgate Park City Resort & Spa, 3000 Canyons Resort Dr, Park City, UT 84098)
Basic directions from the airport to the resort are as follows:
- Exit the airport’s rental car parking garage and follow the signs for exiting the airport
- Take Eastbound I-80 through Salt Lake City and toward Park City, approximately 30 miles
- Take Exit 145, Hwy 224 South and continue south for approximately 3.5 miles
- Turn right (west) on Canyons Resort Drive and follow signs to the Westgate
